From an earlier speedonthewater story (http://speedonthewater.com/archives/...ne-coming.html) on the subject:

"D’Anniballe said he expects the Sterling 1700 to produce 1,400 hp on pump fuel and 1,700-hp on race fuel."

I should have included this again in the most recent story.

I know Sam and talked to him about two weeks ago, He said they should be testing by about now, I saw pics a while ago of them already going in the boat at skater. No offense Matt, but are you behind the times or did something go wrong and the project get delayed? I just dont want to assume.

From the article in post #1 in this thread: much-awaited 1,700-hp turbocharged engines are in their final stages of “dressing” for final dynamometer testing before shipping to Douglas Marine/Skater for installation in a Skater 388 catamaran owned by Sam Smith of Louisiana.

If you will read you might not sound so stupid.
