Question merc 525 sc coolant hoses?? discontinued??

Have this motor, trying to replace all coolant ( sea water ) hoses and local dealer is saying they are discontinued. Can anybody point me in the correct direction? Or do I need to make my own with a combo of large sweeps and 90°s ? Thanks in advance. Mike

They are just DC'd for a certain year. Look up newer year 525sc engines. They are the same hose.

I checked with one of my friends in Service at Merc Racing re: the 525 supercharged engine. Several of the hoses in each serial number group are still available, but not all of them.

The earliest serial number group has the following hoses "no longer available".
32-816344 Power steering to thermostat housing
32-847764A2 (Braided hose) thermostat housing to exhaust elbow
32-816345 1 Circulating pump to thermostat housing

The latest serial number group has the following hoses NLA.
32-816344 Power steering to thermostat housing
32-847764A2 (Braided hose) thermostat housing to exhaust elbow

Last year Racing built the HP525SC was 1999, but I don't know where your SN is in that range. You should be able to get some of them.

Hope this helps.
