Question on Fram HP4 oil filter

I just had my 454 Mag engine rebuilt last year. I have 10 hours on it now. Just pulled it out of its winter storage. I am changing the oil and filter. The marina who did the engine work used a Mercruiser oil filter. I got a Fram HP4 oil filter to replace it. Would this be the best choice? If not, what would?

Go with a Wix Gold or Wix Racing from Napa.

I wouldnt use a Fram filter, even if they were FREE !!!!

Tons of horror stories about them...and the customer service sucks.

I run the K&N filters. I think its a nice piece. :drink:

I've used a Fram HP4 on a blower motor with great results.

Wix, the Frams seem to take very little moisture before they start to restrict flow and drop pressure. This can be a problem if you don't get enough oil temp to burn off condensation.
