For what the kid probably got a couple grand from.
The State of Florida limits parental liability to $ 2,500.

Angry

The defense attorney, that we pay for, will say he is troubled youth from a broken home and will get him off with a slap on the wrist. I'm with Jeff, make him sweep the streets around the guys house with a sign on him saying what he did.

Great point. 15 years old and out at 2am ripping off others property. I saw the Florida limit on restitution on parents is $2500. Ok, go for the limit and then file a civil lawsuit against them. As the his buddies in crime, squeeze him good till he gives them up, shethead.

Oh, by the way shethead, where's the monitors?

thats because all the boats up there are still shrink wrapped, winterizied and still storage eleven months out of the year

In all seriousness though glad they caught this dirt bag. I had a boat stolen once and i simply got lucky. A series of stupid moves on the thieves part and some incredible luck on mine had it back in my possession within 48 hrs and the POS is still in jail. to make a long story short:

boat gets stolen
i make report
cop that i made report to has dinner that night with cop friend in neighboring state and chats about stolen boat
thief takes boat boat to uncles house in neighboring state to stash
uncle is suspicious of dirt bag nephew and calls cop friend to have the numbers checked out.
uncles cop friend just happens to be the cops friend that took the report and recalls conversation the night before.
dirt bag gets ratted out by uncle and now sits in jail
Dave realizes he should have also played the lottery that day lol.
