You sir, are the reason people think New Yorkers are ignorant, blowhard know-it-alls. I know better having lived in the northeast and knowing many New Yorkers but you give all of them a bad image.

Try actually reading a post before you reply to it. It makes you look even more ignorant than you probably are. If that is possible.

Now go away and stop trying to make a name for yourself before you offend every member on this board.

You do the math..

REF: Oklahoma Water Resource Board http://www.owrb.ok.gov/util/waterfact.php
REF: Department Environmental Quality: http://www.michigan.gov/deq/0,1607,7...5959--,00.html

World Book Encyclopedia (v.13, p.500 of the 2000 edition) states that Michigan's shoreline, at 3,288 miles is "more than any other state except Alaska.

nice observation because you are probably like the rest who think that everybody is from the city, which they are not including my self. And I have not been here forever as well. I just like how members think they know it all, and those need to be challenged and shown they are not right

Because World Book is the end-all resource, right? I specialize in surface water and can tell you that my numbers are accurate. World Book or whatever source you're trying to use is probably not taking into consideraton rivers or bodies of water of a certain size or lakes that are shared with other states..

What are you getting out of all this? The satisfaction of thinking you one-upped a bunch of okies with facts that dont make sense? Good Job..

your welcome. My intial comment was OK sucked and somebody decided to jump on the band wagon about it. I lived there it sucked. Big deal but everybody wants to cry about it just like this stupid DUI law which isnt going to affect anybody thats doing the right thing. Say NY sucks, who cares, you wouldnt see me getting in a fit and commenting on it. Then people say well OK has the most boats and lakes, and thats far from it. I realize they have a few massive lakes. This place is just like anywhere else a bunch of groupies who feed off of each other and dont like to be told otherwise. Me I got it Ok has the mose shorline, cool I was wrong, still think the numbers are skewed seeing how MI s totally surrounded by water and has 11,000 lakes,

Really? There is more to NY than just the city? Being an inbred, redneck okie, I didn't know that. Thank you so much for enlightening me to this new fact. (Sarcasm by the way, in case you couldn't figure it out)

And, who are you to challenge long standing members of this board? I guess since you are here now and know it all, there is no reason for the rest of us to respond to posts and just wait for your ever so brilliant answer.

One more thing, proper punctuation and capitalization go a long way around here and say more about you than you think.
