Default Box Anchor Storage

I just picked up a small Box Anchor and I was wondering if anyone has figured out a way to store it in the anchor locker on the bow of a boat without having it bounce around and beat up everything. It was nice storing the fluke anchor in there but I don't think this is going to work. What are some of the other ways everyone stores these?

Thanks

I got a heavy duty rubber bag from Wal Mart of all places. It is designed to be a waterproof duffle bag. It works great. I bring it out in the bag. Nice, because it has handles and it makes it much easier to deal with. Seems like the anchors are very akward to manage and are a gel coat mishap waiting to happen. I pull it up rinse off most of the muck the rope and the anchor fit in the bag and are put away. I like the idea of the floor mats in the anchor locker. I've got the large and it's awesome.

Do you have more info on that bag? I'd like to check that out. I checked out the WalFart website but didn't see anything quite fitting that description. Thanks!

My post from several years back:

I've never had a locker on the bow for an anchor, nor do I think I'd want one; but this setup works well for storing the Box Anchor just about anywhere.

We keep ours under the rear bench in the bag. We have rubber mats down and, given it's weight, it does move around much.

I think this is a hell of an idea. I bet the way the anchor is wrapped up and storred in a bag like this, you could probably throw it in the anchor locker and not worry about tying it down. Even if it hopped around a little, I don't think it would damage anything.
