What's the deal with the 17'?

The 17’ will be part of a joint project by Eliminator and Team Scarab Inc./ Team Archer Marine under the name “Kona” (A registered trademark of Team Scarab Inc.). The alliance will be marketing custom versions of this model to the recreation market.

Currently, and as seen in the prototype picture below, there is a 40hp Honda in the craft. However there are plans to use power up to a 60 Suzuki.

The boat will include both gas and electric outboards and water jet/diesel. It is essentially a modern take on the 70’s family ski boat, an economical boat carrying four passengers that is ideally easy to maintain, haul and store.

As you can see the first version is out of the mold now.

Demo models are expected to be out in Long Beach, CA in July of this year and also up at the Eliminator shop in Mira Loma, CA.

60hp??? Seems a little underpowered. My 17ft skiboat had a 150v6 on it...

Take in mind this are starting numbers, and the boats are being built to order. We are also targeting rental markets.
