"Props off" to Triad Performance Marine
Just had a very good experience with Don at Triad Performance Marine, out of Phoenix, AZ Triad Marine .
I needed a Hydromotive prop in a hurry, and Don came through. Called Tuesday evening and had the prop by Friday....... without any additional freight costs. Cost of the prop was $600; $500 base price, $75 for Hydromotive to weld-in an XR hub, $25 shipping and insurance.
While I was trying to contact Hydromotive on the phone Wednesday (they're always busy - only one or 2 guys answering the phones), Don had already faxed in my order. Hydromotive welded-in the XR hub and shipped it out to me that day.. no additional charge (it's 2 day shipping time from Hydromotive to me)....... and I never did get through to Hydromotive that day.
Come to find out that Hydromotive's use a different thrust washer than the Merc props, and they (Hydromotive) did not include one with the prop. Called Don Friday evening, told him the deal. He spent about an hour trying to track down a vendor who had a Hydro thrust washer - no dice. Don will be sending me one, overnight, on Monday............. at his expense. How's that for service?
If you're looking for a Hydro prop (or other performance parts) I highly recommend Triad. Don went above and beyond the call of duty for the sale of one measly prop. He was professional, efficient, and courteous (sp?). Plus, his base price on a Hydro prop ($500 for standard shaft) can't be beat.

Kudo's to Don also.
I had a similiar situation w/ a part I needed (MSD ignition box). Don had the part over-nighted to my marina which made it possible for my wife and I to boat during the Memorial day weekend.
Thanks again Don!
