500efi gallons per hour ?

4700 lb 27 ft Kryptonite w a 500efi, bravo 1.50, spinning just under 5000 rpms...how many gallons per hour would you GUESSTIMATE she burns...also how accurate are flo-scans ?

WILDMAN 06-20-2011 07:58 PM

GPH depends on your rpm.

Figure 50 GPH at WFOT :evilb:

Our floscans are very accurate.

TeamSaris 06-20-2011 09:44 PM

rule of thumb is 50 for 500hp....60 for 600 and so on. Not 100% accurate but somewhere in there

Bern,

in races we averaged 1.25-1.5 miles per gallon if that helps

For EFI engines, divide the engine HP by 11.5.
Carbed engines, divide the engine HP by 10.5.

Those should be very close for WOT fuel consumption.
