Default Formula Fastech Latham Power Steering Question

I tried searching but found nothing on the forums...Does anyone know if the latham power steering system on the Formula Fastech's only uses one hydraulic steering pump? I have hydraulic pumps on both engines but only one seems to be plumbed in...I have a lot of squeeling from the port side pump and instead of replacing it, i am looking to just buy a smaller belt and skip the pulley altogether. any input is appreciated.

just looking for a quick fix for vacation until i can replace it...

I am fairly sure they just use the one pump. If you look at the other then see were the lines are running. They probably just make a loop through the cooler. You still need fluid in the pump so make sure it did nto leak out or something first.

Easiest way to tell is shut off the other engine. If the steering is hard as hell than it doesn't use that pump.

My Donzi is plumbed in with only one. Personally I think it sucks because there are times I run long idle zones and I'd like to shut down one of the engines but really can only shut down the port engine because of the steering issue.

well if its just a thru loop and the resevoir for the latham hydraulic fluid is full, then there isnt really anythign to check, right?
