Default thru hull.....silent choice

I have thru hull silent choice on my 90 21 7.4 scarab. When the thru hull is on, it seems to slowly slip into silent. Could the piston that opens and shuts it be going bad? any info is greatly appreciated! thanks Jeff

if the Merc air operated setup, usually the popoff valve will get dirty and leak a little. Easy to remove and clean. Double check all the hose connections also.

Probably a loose hose connection as mentioned above. I had that problem and just tightening everything up did the trick. It is operated by a vacuum pump and if there is a loose connection and the vacuum leaks out then the dampers go closed.
