Correct MSD replacement parts..?

Good morning all, I need to replace my distributor and plug wires, I have a fresh Gen VI 454 Mag MPI with a Procharger, basically a stock rebuild. Current distributor and plug leads are stock and original, 1997.

From what I have found the MSD 8366 distributor and a set of 31489 plug leads are what I need? The MSD site shows the distributor applications for cars and trucks but no marine applications. I called MSD and the tech guy said those are the right parts but he did not sound very convincing.....I learned when dealing with Procharger to not always rely on the techs....:angry-smiley-038:

Anybody know 100% if these are the right replacements? Thanks.:coolcowboy:

Correct

I ordered #31489 marine specific HEI MSD wire set for my 502 MPI.

They fit but a few of the wires are almost too short. I ordered my set
with the 90 degree boots and they are tough to work with. Use a lot
of dielectric grease on the boots or you will never get them off. They
fit tight! The boots are also very thick which leaves me little room to
get a finger or two around them to pull them off. 120 degree or
straight boots might be a better choice.

The 8366 is the correct distributor.

PS. The ole 454/Procharged is running like a champ....I appreciated your help during the build and break-in......seeing low 80's right now, a little fine tuning and should see mid/upper 80's sometime this summer....................:D
