Look at Baja 38 Specials too.
I'm tall and love the headroom and the size of my salon,
but hate the fuel consumption of the 2 supercharged motors.
Note, they're not that fast compared to other boats of the same size by Fountain, Cig, etc... but I can hit the low 70's anytime I choose.
I called it my jack of all trades boat purchase, she's fast enough to be respectable in the go fast crowd and roomy enough to do the same with the cruiser crowd.
During my search they were always great on the seller's asking prices.
See ya,'

Thanks for the opinions guys. Looks like our budget will be a max of about 200K. That weeds out some of the recommendations given here, but leaves a lot out there. Performance is important, but not the single biggest factor. We boat in and around Lake Michigan a lot, so the boat has to be able to handle rough water better than my 35 Ex too. The 35 is a pad boat which definitely rides rougher in bigger water- so would really like the next boat to handle the rough stuff better. We're a marshall boat this weekend at a big poker run so I'll get a close look at some of the recommendations, but if anyone else has any opinions, I'd love to hear them. THanks-

For sure. The ZX line is by far the biggest you'll get and still go fast. The biggest is the huge fountain cruiser/go fast (name evades me right now), but they are also pretty ugly and don't perform as well as the ZX if memory serves.

There is a 2003 38ZX Donzi for 120k in the classifieds. And that will leave you with money to burn. Also the Outerlimits 39 quattro from 2006 for 210500 looks nice. Hey it never hurts to make an offer.
