Default Interceptor Style Tabs

Just curious if interceptor style tabs like Volvos QL system has ever been tried on anyones deep V hull speedboat? I have read some research papers from Maritime Dynamics and their tests show that the drag is equall through the first 55% of deployment, granted that data is on very large commercial ships. After the 55% the interceptors loose lift where standard tabs still create lift but also induce more drag comparing the same width between the interceptor and the tab. To gain more lift with an interceptor you must increase its width or double them to create the same lift as the narrower tab, therefore doubling the drag. I would have no problem using them on my cruiser or fishing vessel, but unsure if I would consider it on an offshore speedboat.
