Our Ky lake trip
 

For starters, please excuse any of the stupid things we say or do throughout some of these videos. We were in the sun from 630am til dark and we had 1 or 2 beers along the way, :D so we were acting quite foolish. But that's part of the fun. We put in at Dogtown boat ramp in our hometown of Evansville, Indiana and boated 158 miles to Ky lake. We ran about 40mph gps which felt extremely slow, but had to conserve fuel. There was only one fuel stop along the way and it was 110 miles away. The aggressor did the trip like a champ. The 650hp 548 did the trip perfect. It doesnt like to cruise at such low rpms, but I had the carb tuned to pull some fuel out of it between 2000-3000 rpm. All in all it was an awesome experience, but we got burnt really bad and i ended up foulin out a plug or 2 restarting the boat about 50 times waiting for the last damn to open and let us come through. She still ran, but was missing a bit. We had a late 80's baja 280 that was on the trip with us, then met up with some other friends at Ky lake once we arrived. The firework show was awesome and there was every bit of 700-1000 boats for the firework show. On the firework video, listen for the sad little horn that tried to join in for the grand finale near the end of the video. Very funny. We had an awesome time!

Gotta love the smithland dam. Those guys are really nice that work there. Looked like a fun trip. We goto Golconda all the time and hang out. You guys ever run down there?

Galconda is 108 miles from Evansville. That's where we got fuel. Yea the guys at Smithland were super cool. Now that we know how to lock through a damn, we plan on makin trips to galconda. Let me know if you guys ever put together any kind of trip. Where do you boat at?

Everyone hits up galconda for the shrimp festival every year.... It's sept 18 this year

Yep. Im 10 minutes away from Golconda taking a boat ride. We will be there this year. Its a great time.

Oh yea. ive been tryin to make the shrimp fest for a few years. We'll definately go this year. :drink:
