That's what I was thinking too.

Combine light weight due to shoddy construction and a high rpm, high hp motor, and you have a fast boat...if it holds together.

I saw that boat for sale at one of the consignment lots by baypines a few weeks back. I wanted to see if they would sell the motor.

Used to be a Bayliner cruiser on an inland lake in Columbus when I was still there. Was maybe 23', straight cruiser and looked like a box. Had a fairly radical small block in it with through hulls
Was always hilarious to be hanging out at the cove and hear this radical boat on it's way in before you could see it then this box would appear
And yeah, there's probably another 10 MPH's w/a decent wheel and jack plate.
