looking at a boat with very low hours - need advice!
I am looking at boat with extremely low hours for its age. It has been stored well and serviced but what unique problems would a boat like this face??

14 year old motor's , , depending on how it was stored the internal's could have rust inside motor and im sure you would need all new belt's water pump and what ever else could dry rot over the year's .
just a guess here, im sure someone with more motor knowledge will chime in soon

this is just my opinion, but if it was stored in a climate controlled unit, then moisture in parts making them rust is probably less likely....But if it sat on a trailer or a hoist outdoors, then yea, moisture on the internals and everything else would probably be a problem.

Non use is worse than abuse. Seals dry out, hoses rot away, things get rusty.
It's not a "bad" thing, just be prepared to replace all the hoses, belts & other soft parts associated.
I'd rather have a 1500+ hour boat with maintenance records than one that has sat for years & years.
