Should be a law that anything that sticks out into the water should be lit up reguardless how close to shore. Very sad story

Twin O/B Sonic 07-12-2011 04:10 PM

Going fast enough AT NIGHT and that close to shore (the piece they hit is attached to shore!) to rip the engine out and almost cut the boat in half. Unbelievable.
Prayers to all involved.

Sad Indeed..prayers To All Involved..but Alcohol Should Not Be Had On A Boat At All Times !!!!!
That Should Be The Law !!!!!!!!!

Sorry

That would be impossible nor would it be neccessary if being personally responsible for ones OWN actions be deemed "doing the right thing" before even launching that boat.
So sick of people wanting to try and fix outright stupidity and negligence. Even if they were not drinking, that operator took it upon himself to put everyones lives in that boat in danger driving that fast at night and obviously not knowing where he was.
Sad, and yet as we constantly read on this board, so easily avoidable. Accidents happen, but driving that fast at night to rip the engine out of a boat throwing it forward to tear everything apart in it's path was not a accident, but rather negligence.

Something doesn't look right with that pic unless there is a big tide swing on that river. Looks like water is about 3" deep there.
