Question What would you do...???

If somebody damaged a possession of yours such as your boat, car, or even your home... what would you do if: you knew who committed the act, but you couldn't prove it...???

Just a hypothetical Q...

Depends on the damage done. I considered having my house T.P.'d and mailbox shaving creamed -- damage. So, sometime this summer the parents of the kids who did it will be removing a 16 ton pile of dirt from in front of their garage door so they be able to back the cars out and go to work.

Take a page out of police interrogation techniques:

1. Bluff that you have the proof. They do not know what investigation that you have done. If they are curious as to the proof, leave that to their imagination. Demanding proof is like a vicarious admission to begin with.
2. Inform them that they have a certain period of time to make amends (financially or otherwise) before you take "formal" action.
3. Let them know that the damage exceeds a certain threshhold that may make the matter a felony criminal matter.
4. Offer to refrain from taking such action if they correct the problem.

I would go to a police station to get complaint forms that you should fill out before you confront the person. Have the forms conspicuously visible to the accused so that they know you have taken steps to protect your rights. If they have anything at all to lose by facing criminal destruction of property charges, they should come around. Good luck.

The first thiong I would do is confront the person or persons and ask them nicely to make things right if they refuse then try like hell to get any possible incriminating evidence against them(there is always a way) then if you still cant get anything accomplished engage in a very carefully planned revenge

Always remember what comes around goes around!!!
Thats my .02

My dad grew up on a farm in northern Wisconsin and told us the story about a nearby kid that got cussed out by a neighbor for something he had done wrong. Anyway, the kid loaded up the manure spreader and backed up facing the neighbors front door and commenced to unloading (flinging) the entire load of chit at the front door! If you've ever seen a manure spreader working a full tilt I'm sure you get the picture, if not believe me it will send the stuff flying!!!!

After the dust (chit) had settled the same kid was forced by the local law official to clean up the mess!!!

PS. Dad never told me if the guy's lawn was greener or not after that little fertilizing episode...
