Anyone Know this boat
see link, http://www.yachtworld.com/core/listi...2759&noOfPic=1
a buddy of mine is looking for a project boat, which this definitely is. I was just curious if anyone knew any history on this boat, its a repo. |
That boat isn't even that old. It looks thrashed. Was it underwater?
Darrell. |
Looks like it was underwater to me.
|
That's what I'm trying to figure out. My buddy has gotten two different stories, one said it was under, the other said it just took on water in the engine compartment. I was hoping someone on here had the real story/history of this boat.
|
Those 496's are not even HO's. At 375HP, even if they run, that boat will be under powered. Too many good deals out there to bother w/ this unless you could get it at way less than asking price.
|
What a shame that boat ended up like that. I am looking to upgrade to that in a few years but definitely not that boat and definitely not at that price. I would offer $15k at most for that.
|
What's crazy is the way the Sonic is pictured next to the other boat. It almost looks as if the second boats windshield is mounted on the sonic.
|
So sad. Looks like it went down to me...
|
If it didnt go all the way down it was pretty close. I looked at it the other day on that site. Could be done but I sure wouldnt give that kinda money for it. There isnt even any gauges in the dash and look at the headliner
Maybe somebody will see this and tell the real WTF happened story |

For starters, the gauges are smart craft. The next thing is in fact the headliner and where the headline and glass meet, the silicone has pulled away. The boats electrical panel is missing from the cabin so my best bet is the boat was under water. Looking at the engines, they are real dirty as if they had been under water. Knowing what I do know about Sonics, I would'nt own one even if giving to me. Good luckon finding a boat.

That boat either sank or filled up with rainwater somewhere
|
That's a shame, makes you wonder why a nice boat sank and got repo'd. Then again it seems like National Liquidators has had a lot of accidentally sunken boats lately. They also have a 33' Outlaw with 502 blower motors that sank at the dock.
I agree with the above poster who said no more than $15k.. |
