If there was a hole:coolcowboy: in the piston shouldn't it be smoking like crazy lol??

Ok guys thanks for the input, guess I just gotta do a leak down

LEAK DOWN TEST, my first blower motor I built was a 502, once the rings started going I was pushing oil EVERYWHERE, leakdown was 35+% and boat went maybe one mph slower, Smitty

Depends on the size of the A-hole ;)

By doing a leakdown test you can pinpoint the leak quite good by ear...
Lets hope for the cheapest problem.

Its fairly fresh id say only 50-80 hrs on it.. does anyone else have this problem on a blower motor when you are running it hard??

Too much crank case pressure..

Sounds like Daredevils engine room.. without a blower ;)

I get the same thing all the time. I have oil coming out of the valve cover breathers as well minimal and only when I lean on it. Oil comes out the dip stick...I used to have the plastic type and switched back to Mercury style metal and it cured the problem. Also see below, about overfilling which is easy to do when you run big oil coolers.

Is there too much oil in the crank case? I believe if its overfilled, it can cause this condition too, due to aeration of the oil

Had a time when I overfilled the engine...same issues developed cause was overfill....I pulled out some oil and problem went away immediately. This is dangerous and you should do so very carefully as you do not want any kind of oil starvation.

Just a thought, an issue I had, with my Procharged 454 I was running too cool on the water temp which effects the oil temp which was way to low, this created condensation/moisture in the engine. Before I realized it the water in the oil brought the oil level up and I had oil coming out the dipstick after a hard run.

I reduced/restricted the water flow, removed the oil cooler, both of which brought oil temp up and removed the condensation problem which in turned stopped the oil out the dipstick......
