Ignition Rev Limiter on 1988 454 330 is there one?
 

Is there a rev limiter on 1988 454 330 hp motor.
With the stock thunder bolt ignition.

I have put together a new motor starting with a 365 mag block.
I dynoed the motor using a different ignition system.

I will be using the old ignition systems off my old 330 motor.
Will this ignition system can I rev over 5200RPM?

Will I have to find one off a 365 hp or a V-6

I have a 1990 454/330 and when I spun the hub inside the prop at WOT the tach pinned at 6000 RPMs. I don't think it has a rev limiter. If you find one at a good price thats easy to hook up, let me know !

There wasn't a rev limiter on my 1989 330.

There is no rev limiter on Thunderbolt IV ignitions. The ignition module only controls timing advance.
