I mentioned Mercury's costs eariler in this thread. How about $9,194.00 for 850 crank and, 470.00 each for connecting rods, on Bam Marines web site.

I've been fighting blower belt idler pulley issues on my merc's.
Bearings from BAM $46, same SKF bearing from my local distributer $8! Each motor takes 6. 12 for $96 vs. $552....
Glad I shopped!

Not to mention that this shouldn't be an issue to begin with

I remember that experience well ... and the idler pulley between the two blowers was over $500 at the time... now it's down to just under $300 ....
