Default portable ac units.

Looking at a few mid 30' boats with decent overnighter cabins but they are lacking ac. For the few times a year we would overnight , it would be at powered slips. Can you use the small , somewhat portable ac units I have seen online for residential use or are there other portable options?

I dont know who makes them but there are portable/temp a/c units that sit on the deck thru the deck hatch. Blow in the cabin and vent thru the outside. Great idea.

cruiseair makes carryon a/c units.i have one.it is 4800btu.my cabin is small, but this thing rocks,at times i have to turn it off.i think air to air a/c units give you a better temp change, but on board a/c units are a whole lot more conveient.the guy i got this a/c unit from used it on his 357 foumula and cool great.

I have a Velocity 260, so the cabin is not terribly big. I overnight only a couple of times a year, I might try one of thoses $40.00 units. Seems like a decent idea and may work well in a smaller cabin. Worst case, out 40 bucks and a couple of bags of ice....
