A Skater inboard boat can run 75 mph at 3000 rpm, 85 mph at 3500. 95 mph at 4000. Some cats will run 100 at 3800. So you can run a cat for 50 miles at 3500 at 85 mph.
Some cats will run 100 mph at 3500 and accelerate extremely fast. |
thanks for the compliments on the rigging guys....i give it my all....i must thank Matt and his dad gary for being great guys to deal with....

Frank and I run together during most of the runs and we have suprised a few of the big vee bottoms over the last few years! Looking forward to doing it again this year! I personally can't think of a more fun boat to drive than a 30 to 32 cat with outboards.
BTW this 30 Skater in this thread looks awsome! great rigging job! Yep! The two smallest boats, yours and mine, are often at the front. Like you said fun boats to drive! |
