Default Fastest single engine boat? Lets hear it!

Okay, I love my 25 Outlaw, the way it rides, room it has and am glad for once in 5yrs that it has ran without any issues all summer so far(Thanks Ben)....... I would just expect 700HP to push it faster than it does? A crap load of horsepower and only in the 80's....... ......lol. I want some feedback from everyone and their experiences on what is the fastest single engine (preferably V-Hull) boat WITHOUT sacrificing the ride. Just thought it would be an interesting thread to start and love to here what everyone has to say..............

The Baja Outlaw hull is not the most efficent hull. There are many boat manufactures that will run much faster with equal power. I am by no means knocking the Baja Outlaw, as personally I LOVE the classic shape the Outlaw has. But for speed not really the Hull of choice.

A friend of a friend has a 1999 Velocity 26' and he runs mid 90s with similar power.

Thumbs up 144 Mph

In 2002, Bob Teague drove an Eliminator 25 Daytona in Parker, AZ, with a 1300+HP Quad/Whipple motor to
a remarkable 144mph...

Bob also drove an Eliminator 26 Daytona several years back to 141.9mph, when a distributer gear failured, causing the boat to slow.....

Not sure if anyone else has gone faster in a 25/26 foot cat...

Myself, I've driven my 25 Daytona up to about 103mph, and got nervous, its a small boat... LOL...

Yes, and it is gorgeous to boot. I talked to him about putting my 600sci in one a couple years ago, he calculated somewhere over 100 on gps.

Howards V hull ran 110mph, according to powerboat magazine, single engine, not sure how many HP

The Baja hull is non stepped, and heavy compared to others, but, I still think its one of the best "bang for the buck" out there.
