Two very fast Howards 28 Bullet V-Bottom 130.3MPH and 28 Sportdeck 123.1MPH.

I was in that boat when we hit 118MPH on the bump box at 85%throttles like riding on a razors edge. Sportdeck is also hella fast for single engine deckboat can hit 118MPH in a mile on the bump box with a 33Plab Bravo I.

We were 1100 hp but the problem was tuning because it is an efi even though it looks like an old school system. The drives would break a lot and tuning a motor when the drives are going would add extra load making it a nightmare to tune. It was a pfaff motor on premium 1100hp believe it would run about 1300 with 110 octane. We were using b-max drives and took out 5 that year our poor xr held together as the spare without one issue. It ran it's fastest speed with the xr the bmax dropped the speeds by at least 10mph. Bmax 117-118

There was a 25 Eliminator with a PSI blower motor that used run into the 140's at the LOTO Shootout.

Those 25's are a light fast hull. Wouldn't want to hit much of a wave though.

So, how fast would you say 900 hp would push a 27' Daytona? I've heard they run about 118 on a good day with 900 hp. Looking at the #'s, they claim 650 hp to reach 100 then the #'s agree on 118 for 900 hp.

Sounds perfect to me. Got a couple buddies running 27 based hulls and they are all around 900 hp running in those speeds. Who knows for sure every one seems to lie haha. Also depends on year of 27 hull some are faster even though some say there's no change.

I believe I called you and talked to you about running a surface drive on it. Wish we would have went that routenbut the transom was already cut and prepped for mercury style drives. And the bravo replacement you sell wouldn't make the rating of torque and hp.
