I just want to get back out on the water after selling our boat 5/16. Deal now is between 2001 37 Formula SS or a 2002 38 PQ with 500 EFI's and loaded.

The difference between both boats is Space, Money and Speed!

Stupid Question, Where is the Sand Bar Located?

96Vyper. I would opt for the Powerquest but that Formula would be way better to party on! I wish I had those kind of decisions to make!

The Sandbar is in Puce, Canada. It's probably 15 miles from Metro or so. Nice patio that sits out over the boats, not crazy busy like Jack's or anything though.

Milord,

This decision is killing my wife and I. The good thing on the Formula, is my thinking has caused the dealer to reduce the price by $5600 and put more options on the boat for us.

You are right, the formula would be great to party on, but there is about a $60K difference between the two.

Is the sandbar on the Thames River?

I wish I had that kind of decsion to make. I worry about if I can afford to renew the plates on the trailer or just risk it.

96Vyper ... that is a lot of money in difference. Unfortanetly, summer if upon us and you need to get on the lake. You should take each boat for a weekend to decide!

It is not on the Thames. That is where I keep my boat though. There is good place to go by boat at the mouth of the river called Spooters. Lots of dockage, can accomodate 100 footers or something too. Nice place.

The Sandbar is down the coast towards Detroit about 15 miles from the Thames I think.

Milord..I know what to basically expect with the 38. Fast and fun, but not a lot of room once you get somewhere.

With the formula, wife will be more comfy, and me at night in the queen size aft cabin, plus baby will have more room. The formula does run in the 50's

Well, I just looked at pics of the 37SS. That is a pretty sweet boat. Man that would be a tough decision. I only run in the 50's so you could still keep up to me!

The room would be nice to have sometimes. You are getting the best of both worlds with the Formula. Hey it still has a Fastech hull right?

Hey James
I will be splashing for the first time on Fri night after work. I may even cut out early. I will be out on Sat and Sun.
