Favor needed in LOTO

I found a boat in LOTO that I really like, but the problem is, I live in Ohio, and do not know if it is worth going to, so I was curious if anyone was around LOTO that wouldnt mind taking a quick look at the boat for me, I can give you contact information if you don't mind doing it.
Thanks :)

Where is the boat at?

36Envision 07-28-2011 08:18 AM

I did this for a FL resident last week and worked out pretty well. Nice guy. I'd be happy to do this but can't until Friday the 5th or Saturday the 6th of August. PM me the info & your contact info (assuming those dates work) and I'd be happy to take a look for you.

The boat is at Lake of the Ozarks

Smitty 07-28-2011 12:53 PM

I think he was looking for more specific location, like what dealer or broker.

BigBoater 07-28-2011 12:55 PM

None, It is a private seller

BigBoater 07-28-2011 12:58 PM

I have the email adress of the seller, he has not given me his address because I have not requested it, I do not know if it is worth driving 450+ miles and a day and a half to look at. that i why I hoped someone around there could check it out for me

Yes, I know the boat is at LOTO from your first post. If you have an address, I may be able to help you out.

Post a location at LOTO. Mile Marker, marina, whatever. LOTO is a big lake and what might be a 5 minute drive for one person, might be a 45 minute drive for another.

Post what boat it is, pic desc, I am sure someone here probably knows the boat.

BigBoater 07-28-2011 03:33 PM

I am working on the address, the boat is a 1986 sea ray 22 pachanga, here is a link for it, http://stlouis.craigslist.org/boa/2466190443.html hopefully someone knows it to make it all easier lol

lernin-t-fly 07-28-2011 03:42 PM

BigBoater 07-28-2011 05:47 PM

It means it's too far for alot of people. What is the address. I'll be in Camdenton Saturday morning...

Hauling Hustler 07-28-2011 06:13 PM

Listing said no title. Be careful !

Bobthebuilder 07-28-2011 07:15 PM

I had an identical twin to that boat back in 1986. I loved it on the smaller lakes. Very nicely appointed. They had a problem with the Taylor windshields breaking so they went around and put some sort of film on. I never had a problem with mine. In 1987 they went to a 2 piece windshield which spoiled the look some. As I take a closer look I see that there is a bar in the center of the windshield and just may be a 1987 unless they made the change in late 1986.
It's a bargain at at $ 5 K. Sold mine for $ 15 K 3 years ago but was boat house kept and in great shape. Good luck and hope you can sort out the title.

Bob

46mm = 46 mile marker big boater

firehawkcat 07-28-2011 08:26 PM

how can you register a boat with no title unless they just lost it

mpally 07-28-2011 08:58 PM

We'll be down for the next 10 days, but it's a long drive for us. Let me know if no one else can get by there and maybe I can take a look at it early one morning.

the no title thing would make me say not worth the trip. If you decide you still want someone to look at it, I can have a friend that also owns a pachanga in the same area as the seller look at it for you. PM me if you want.

Donzi Dude 08-01-2011 07:25 AM

I'm at the 45MM won't be down to next week end but the no title thing scares me.

BigBoater 08-01-2011 07:10 PM

Okay okay I am out on this deal... I have had half a dozen people say no title=no deal, so yeahh... I will probably just wait for a good pachanga deal or good baja 24 outlaw deal to come around closer to home
