2011 St Clair Pics
 

I finally made it to a race :evilb: Feels like its been forever. Since I broke my camera last year (dropped it and lost the lens), I decided at the last minute to grab my daughters fancy camera .... that I obviously dont know how to use.... but felt the need to take pictures anyway :D I took my small camera with the intentions of taking that to the bars for people pics but some how managed to leave it in the hotel room everytime we went out :rolleyes: So... I only have pics of the race on Sunday and while mine will not even be close to those of Jay, Jeff, or Dee, Im gonna show you what I got anyway :D

I have to start at the end of the race because to me, that was the coolest thing of the day. The most wonderful man, Jimmy Winters, along with his wonderful team mate Vinny, decided to take pity on the fans of St Clair and give them a misting with their rooster tail :drink: From where we stood the crowd was loving it!

I might add that race control was not as happy as the crowd

But wait! Theres more!! After they picked up the checkered flag, Jimmy brought it over and handed it off to his biggest fan, Julia. I believe somebody did a thread about Julia and why she is Jimmys biggest fan and if you havent read that thread, you should find it:kiss:

Ok .... heres some of the others ... One of the most wonderfullest people in St Clair.... always a pleasure .... and he has one fo the nicest sun pads (courtesy of XT Innovations :D)

And no thread of St Clair pics would be complete without at least one shot of the smoke stacks :drink:

It is always great to see the race boats coming in close to the fans, as you have stated, the fans love it.

Dean .... we sure missed seeing the Wahoo boat out there running. Hope you and the family are doing well :bunny:

There were a lot of good battles going on. I didnt get any pics of Ryan and Ryan (:() I met the younger Ryan Saturday morning while I was helping with the dunk testing. His dad was there with him and let me tell ya, that was one proud papa. As soon as I heard they went over, I thought of the younger Ryans dad and knew he was there watching. That is one of the scariest feeling ... watching them flip and holding your breath until you know they are ok. Most of the time, you know within seconds cuz you see the helmets come up so you know they are ok, but those seconds seem like minutes .... So glad those two were fine.

Always great hanging with the safety crew. I learned how to make soup :drink:

I wish I would have gotten a picture of Pages hauler. Friggin huge. So cool :cool:

Had a couple cool visitors while we were watching the races :evilb:

AB - absolutely! Geico also buzzed the wall ... They are always a crowd favorite :cool:

Just booked the room for Port Huron. The daughter says "you wanna take the zoom lens this time?" :rolleyes: Hopefully I'll get some better/more entertaining shots :coolcowboy:

Great pics! Had a couple of my boat in there.

Every time you went by I said I love that boat. Definitely one of the coolest Sunsations I've seen. Beautiful color :cool:
