Cape Cod Races??? Final tally?
 

I know this has been done but looking to see whos coming out and where is everyone staying? Also what are you bringing. Audio and I are heading down Thursday with my 357 and his race boat. My buddy (flipJ5 on OSO)will be bringing his 26 OV searay. Were all staying at the Village green. We have a large supply of rum and I'm not doing the cranes for the race so I can actually drink it. Weather looks great shouldnt be too rough maybe we can get a raft up going. If anyone needs good directions in let me know. Mark B.:cool:

Sponsors are being tough right now.... SOOOOO Bat Girl does not have her BAT BOAT!!! VERY UNHAPPY.. I have my parents coming to watch me race for the first time.......and no boat?????
MFB337?? Navigator?? What class?? I really like to have control of the sticks or wheel, because we all know there is nothing to navigate on our courses, unlike in Europe, where they still race 40 miles offshore. So what do you really need?? I am interested.

I'm still looking for a high-profile throttleman for the remainder of the season (hoping to learn a lot, and win a little too). Maybe a Sunday racer who wants to kill an hour or so on Saturday :confused:

Hey mfb357. . .

You said the weather looks good and it shouldn't be "too rough". Any idea what we can expect as far as wave height, swells vs. chop, etc?

Any local knowledge/input would be appreciated.

Bat boats run on Saturday????

If the wind picks up to about 15 plus and this is common expect it to be a short chop like you get in lakes. It can get real rough out there but not large swells it is ussually short steep smaller ones. The mornings are ussually flat and it builds all day.

Saturdays forecast is for calm winds from Northerly as a high pressure settles in, low humidity 45% with temps in the high 60 low 70's. I would expect a light chop. Sunday its back to normal for that area, strong SW winds will kick up 3-4 short chop. higher relative humidity 55% temps near 75-80. water temp is running 59-62 degrees. what do you think of that AUDIO!!? And Chris I for one would be happy to go for a ride in a bat boat. Mark B.

OK guys, I'm coming. I'm driving up tomorrow (SAT) with my Baja and I'm staying at Hyannis Marina. I'm coming all by myself (well, I'm bringing the dog) so if anyone wants to hook up Sat night or Sun during the day give me a call on my cell. (860) 208-8953. If anyone has any good GPS coordinates for where they will be or where a good place to watch the race is let me know. I've never been to this area on my boat so it will be a new expereince for me. Wouldn't mind meeting some fellow OSO'ers either. I'l have plenty of beer too...:cool:
