Is the boat gray???? If so, it is very clean and well taken care of.

With that year of boat, a lot will depend on the condition. There are a lot of variables. Probably anywhere from 20-45k.

IMHO... is worth what you might pay for a vacation of a lifetime.. meaning you have a great time with it, but anything you spend you will never see back... you will own the boat for life and then give it away when your done ...

a 390 Stinger will never turn into a classic. Does not have the pedigree because of being in the opening show of Miami Vice only, need more than that.. build quality, race history and a lot of other things like brand recognition.

Default 39 Stinger

Even with the best of the best... the boat is worth 24k max. In all actuality, she's really worth between 12 and 18k. The boats were slapped together... Many were old US Customs boats... If the boat is grey, chances are it was in govt. service...

Just be careful

I've seen asking prices for old 390 Stingers between $10k (without engines) all the way up to $80k. If you are interested in old 390s, feel free to visit my website www.chriscraftstingers.com. Check out the forums - in there I try to post any Stingers that come up for sale. These are old boats, and whenever one is thinking about buying one should get it surveyed. I'd be interested in hearing which 390 you are looking at.

My buddy has a 41 Stinger. Think it's an 89. Cool boat, bought it some years ago in Michigan. Tricked out with twin 750 hp motors. Does 70 on the gps. Classic Chris Craft emblems. Everywhere we go people check it out. Probably would have trouble selling. Will never get all that money back he has put into different motors, but he loves it.
