All of our prayers and condolences to the family and loved ones.
Again we are all sick of hearing the "Speed Boat" label....oe even "Cigarette Boat"....Come on media...get off the sensational band wagon....this guy was a legitimate family man and business man. This was an accident....not the result of some implied careless act by the operator of a "Speed Boat" or "Cigarette Boat"
God bless all involved.

I'm personally convinced the media labels " speed boats" because just like they look sexy sitting at the docks....it sounds sexy in the paper vs. Fishing c.c.
Condolences to friends&fam

Just read the article, didn't seem they were sensationalizing the accident. Oh...it was a "speedboat", not sure how that implies carelessness.

Face it guys. Its a 70mph boat, thats a speedboat. Doesn't
mean anything, just a label. My father had a 14' wooden hull with a 35 Johnson on it and it was called a speedboat.

Very very sad. I just spent a couple days there scalloping (in little CC) and the area is pretty sketchy. The channel on the weekends is a mad house with boats going from 5 MPH to way fast. IMO, Lets quit whining about the speedboat reference and realize there was lose of life.

Rob was a great man all around. Great family man and to the community he lived in. He will truly be missed.
He was a very experienced boat owner and knew those waters well as he lived just up the river and was out regularly. I would be surprised if this had anything to do with him being irresponsible.
