Most insurance companies require you to " make an attempt" to do the best possible thing, and they know basically what you can and can't do on a realistic basis. That's why they ask all those questions when your applying to them, and it reflects how much you pay. I keep my boat in a slip from April through October and I don't have a trailer for my boat, I rely on a hauler. Because of that, I pay a little more than a guy with the same situation but has a trailer and can pull his boat out much quicker, but with that said, that guy better pull his boat out if their is a hurricane warning or he may be denied any claims where as I will be given way more slack. Anyway, with all that said, I will put many storm lines on my boat and do the best job I can do to secure everything and let mother nature do her thing, but my boat is staying in the water ( hopefully )

just my .02
Wilma was a cat 3 when it went through marathon....
Cat 2 or 3 + floating docks = not much left
Just don't wait too long, I've seen just as many boats wrecked on the highways in bumper to bumper traffic

Trailer
I've got a trailer in Charlotte that can hold up to 30ft and 10,000lb but it might be a little too late... Not supposed to have much wind here, I can throw mine in the water for the weekend. If it's any help send me a PM.
