Hurricane IRENE - storm surge Chesapeake Bay
Anybody know the forecasted storm surge Hurricane IRENE will bring to the Chesapeake Bay?

Ernesto TS was offshore Ocean City & 45 mph winds and raised the water level potomac & western bay approx 4'-0"
This is a slower moving storm with higher winds |
I believe the last report I heard was some where around 8' duno how true that was, but .. Now that was 2 days ago, so things might have changed..

Unless it goes WEST of the Bay like Isabel, there should be very little or no surge. If it goes east (as forecast), it make actually pull water out of the Bay.

^^^^^ Agreed, hope so.. It has tracked or is going to track in a little farther west then they had thought, but it is still days out, so anything can happen.. Earlier they had said if it stays on there track, it could come in the southern part of the bay

In your guys opinion if I can pull my boat out, should I ? I'm right by annapolis on the severn, on a lift.
