Let's see, you joined OSO in '07 which is 5 yrs after I did and I'm the "newb"? Oh wait, I see. Your boat is bigger than mine. I understand.
Know where your hero got his start?
Know which boat he splashed when he "designed" the 1st legendary Fountain?
Know which brand ran the 1st pad bottom that he Invented?
Know which brand ran the first notched transom that he invented?
Know which brand ran the first beak bow that he invented?
Know which yr he first drove the company in the ditch so Mercruiser had to take it over to recoup part of their losses?
Know who he blamed then?

140 is bad ass in any boat. Can't wait to see all the pics. This is definitely an event I need to go to one year.

Guess history and the truth doesn't matter. Still remember the interview on ntl TV at the offshore race (don't remember which one) and they interviewed a driver and asked him about the Fountain domination of his class. He said nope, not at this race. It's rough and it's real offshore here. Said the Fountains will be the fastest in the calm water behind the break wall and then will get passed as soon as we hit open water. Happened exactly as the guy said. Freagin hilarious. So yeah, 140 may not be 177 but still bad ass in a large Vee and fastest there. End of story and well done guys! Think I read this was a full interior boat too

Correction. Let me re-phrase it for ya Dan.
Billy Betz in his Outerlimits SV 43 is the fastest vee bottom as of now at LOTO with a 140mph pass. The boat is a full canopied boat with 1075's by JCPERFORMANCE with number 6's! The boat will run past 140 given more room to stretch her legs!!

This boat can run close to 150 with the motors in it. We have other boats that can run reggies record. I've been 170 with plenty more left. Reggie still holds the sanctioned vee bottom record there's no arguing that. Not being biased but outerlimits builds more fast vee bottoms than anyone.
