Interesting....
I'm used to following the APBA/UIM Kilo records which gives you a flying kilometer w/the sticks pinned and piddling w/buttons to get everything right before you enter the measured kilo.
What all of you guys did/do is way impressive! To be within 10 MPH's of WFO after a mile is damned impressive. I always wondered what was left. Now we know the answer is not much.
Again congrats to all!

Heck I'll still go boating if its above 30 degrees!! We usually boat up until the end of October up here and even in November if its warm enough and test year round. Never been a huge winter sports guy but your place looks sweet!! You going to run the SVL down in Key West?
We have to pick up the pieces after LOTO week:
* In the global warmer boat we lost a motor on Thursday,
* Had some issues with the 1200 Merc fuel pumps in the 47
* We put up a bigger triple digit number with the SVL, than our 47 ( a pair of 1200) this past weekend.
* The most reliable was the Center C with triple verado package

It takes alot of talent to navigate a V Bottom >135, I have alot of respenct to the OL team this weeked.
Congrats to the success of the Outerlimits SV 43 at LOTO. I had a chance to watch this boat run on the course and what a showcase at the dock!. I am sure with a longer stretch it would pick up some addtional MPH.
When I had the 1075 package in our open canopy 42 fountain poker run, it was tested in Powerboat at 144-146. Then when we converted to a full canopy Pleasure-Race Boat ( stereo/AC and 4 seats), it would top `150+, but the best we could do in a mile at LOTO was 139.
Then in the fall of 2010, we changed the Merc Motors out to the new 1200, preparing for KW, the testing speeds were improved again. It was aquired, before KW, and has a new home in Trinidad, on the OS racing circuit
The 2011 LOTO was a wonderful event, and the performance of this OL-43 was outstanding. It will soon be time to start snowmobiling

For me running a 21 to 22 ft sport boat with a 21 to 22 degree deadrise with 450HP @ 70+ mph is what I call using your abilities.
Again, it's just a question from an average boater who like many can only dream to own such a powerboat.
All the best!
