Default What's under your boat??

Ever wonder what is hiding under your boat while your on the water?? I took an underwater camera and was amazed at just how many fish and other things are under the water. The kids and I had a blast doing this we spent 2 days floating around an area that was boat free and got some pretty cool underwater video. Take a look..

Cool video. Appears to be a bunch of trout, but was it a single salmon a little more than a minute in? About 20 seconds from the end, I'm guessing that was a lizard not a salamander? What species?

No kidding, clear water for sure.

On the Potomac river you can't see past 12" underwater..... Not to mention, I really don't want to know what is down there.

There were some small salmon in the river that day, Most were steelhead truot with a few good size cutthroat trout. I can't remember what the small fry look like, but I do know that this river has some big Chinook salmon in it in the fall 40-50 lbs. A few Coho salmon have also made there way into this river too. The salamander is actually called a newt and they live in the river in the shallows, they will come up for air and that is what this one was doing as I happen to be swimming by it. I might try and get some big fish this fall but I'll have to be careful of the hooks and boats in the water. The river is called the Checto. It is mostly a solid rock bottom with tons of boulders throughout the river.
