Default ebbtide boats? good or bad?

Coworker wants me to go look at a 95 Ebbtide, 4.3L/ Alpha. Asking $5800.00. Any advice on quality? What to look for? Thanks

I owned two Ebbtides, and liked them both a lot. My 1995 was a 2100 Mystique with a small block and DuoProp drive. It was pretty quick (58) and VERY practical, with lots of storage. It was also a great tow boat; with the DuoProp, it would stay on plane as slow as 14 mph. They are nicely built bowriders.

When I was the Editor at Powerboat and we did the Performance Trials, the Ebbtides were among the highest rated runabouts every year. They were well built and performed solidly. Hope this helps.

They did win Powerboat of the Year awards in their class several times. Thanks for the reminder, Eric!

I liked closely at a couple of them some yrs back and really liked what I saw. Struck me as very well done for a production boat.

My 1987 190 Riviera and 1995 2100 Mystique. Loved them.
