I am not debating speed. We both know that the 39 was not one of their best hulls. I was actually considering this boat at one time, but was advised against it from several people. Anyhow, the Glad may be smaller, but build ,quality-wise, it blows that GTX away.

P.S. Where is the new 36 you guys have coming out? Would love to see it!

Build quality being hull construction the Gladiator being a glass boat does not blow away an Epoxy boat. Period. My Gladiator had more stress cracks in it than the Outerlimits ever would. The 36 is still on the back burner.

I don't doubt the hull integrity. That's not what I am talkiing about. All of the OL's I have seen from that time period have inferior rigging and fit and finish when compared to Cigarette.

I would argue against that statement STRONGLY.

So what's the trick to driving them? And what if anything can be done to make them more conventional?

True, and on pleasure days would prefer to stand too. Poker runs and rough water...my sit down is the best!
