Maybe they wanted to use the bimini because they didn't have an EZ up canopy.

How does a cruiser get that far up the beach?

Jpzaluski 09-05-2011 09:28 PM

I'm not at all trying to be one of those people that thinks every photo is a hoax... but where is the disturbed grave/sand where the boat would have traveled when it ran aground?

Maybe someone left the drain to the lake open to long.

I think that boat's been there a long time, and the lake drained away from under it. You can see that's where the shore line used to be before the lake receeded.
I can't see it traveling that far up the beach on its own momentum.

Wow. I stand corrected. It looks unimaginable, but lo and behold I guess it did skid that far.

Sure...it's the GPS's, the wind's and the night's fault  Anything else to blame?

"Last night this boat ran 150 feet onto shore due to low water level, high winds and a bad GPS signal. Anastasi Towing of Blanco, TX had to lift the boat over the cliffs and onto the road with the assistance of county officials and Anastasi workers to be safely loaded onto the boat trailer. Just goes to show how much you can trust technology these days.Thankfully no injuries.:

Hey, I've got pics just like that!...except it was a 40' Formula express cruiser on the Albert Whitted airport Jetty here in St. Pete.

A nice fella got himself liquored up and...eh-hem..."borrowed"...the boat the the evening.

Good thing it stayed on the wall! Doesn't look like it would have floated too long if it made it back into the water!
