I don’t know how you guys do it to be honest. It’s just to much IMHO. You want to go fast get a 15’ Baja and slap a 150 on it. That will scare the piss out of ya. Need a couple staterooms to live aboard your boat (why you would want to I don’t know), get a cabin cruiser but to have it all in one to me is like having 200mph conversion van. Cool, but not for me.
Boats are like cars. You get in them to go somewhere even if it is nowhere and then come back. I’m not sure why some boaters need a full kitchen and couple staterooms in their boat just to have it sit at a marina 99% of the time and no matter what I’ll sleep in my own bed, in my house.
Another thing to consider is “gallons per mile.” I’ll have just as much fun in my 19 as most will in their 48’ boat and my gas bill will be a fraction of theirs and I’ll will be able to go out again next weekend.
I have the original 1968 Nova 24 race boat that any boat named Nova (except for the rubber dinghy out today) came from. Top of the line in 1968 and not a bad boat today. There’s a Cat just a few doors down from the community boat ramp with 3 blown 502’s in it and the few times the motors start and it leaves the pier each year the men of the neighborhood run to the ramp like kids running after the ice cream truck. Except for me. I already know it will blow the gunnels off my old 24 but I’ve learned a long time ago that no matter what you have there is always someone with something better. I guess that’s why I like unique boats. You don’t have to have the biggest, baddest, most expensive boat on the water. I live by the line, It's not about being noticed, it's about being remembered.

Last, the bigger you go the less you feel. I boat because I like to drive the water conditions. A big boat looses that feeling (unless you are doing over 100 then it comes back). Enjoy what you got.

I needed a bigger boat to handle Lake Michigan and with the ability to sleep 4, I dont have to only go for a day but spend a weekend and that`s a huge plus. So not everyone gets a bigger boat cause they wanna be the man:drink:

I started with a big boat, I knew what I wanted so I figured F it, why not? I wanted a boat that could handle rough water, didn't want to have to stay home when the wind was blowing. Ran back from Montauk to CT last weekend about 65 miles in some nasty swells, the girls got the ride of their life but everyone was safe and everyone stayed dry.

The boats for sale now, I don't keep anything very long, gonna do something different, not sure exactly what yet.

Some call it sickness others fun but you don't realize how much of a pain a big boat is unless you have one. I started with a 18ft ranger bass boat with a 150 runs mid 60's then got a 25 convincer with single 454 mag. Then went to the 40ft fountain, cant put on the trailer by yourself pain in the wind to dock by yourself and your are always looking for someone to go boating on the weekends. But when you are out on it, nothing beats having a big boat also.

I think id skip the 2foot idas and go for the 38' and be done with it! ur right about being able to dock and handle it by ourself....its nice with help

I don't think that I'll want to go much bigger. It's easy to tow, and fits in my shop hooked to my truck. Faster and newer....yes please.

Sorry to hear your selling, I remember a picture thread here last year on INCOGNITO.
She was as beautiful as the models posing on her.
I really can't wait to see what you step up to the plate with next time!!!

See ya,
Kelly
