Congrats to Bill Park and Ben Hedrick for a tough win in Super V light single. I was talking to the crew with a few laps to go and they were screaming their asses off.
Ben, Congrats dude, and thanks for keeping my seat warm. You wouldn't believe how bad this weekend hurt. Stuck on duty here at the station, couldn't get the station computer to do the realplayer thing to hear the race audio, pacing up n down the bay...
That's the last time I miss a race. I don't think I can handle that kind of stress again. :mad:

Gordo, We all really missed you. We had a great time and my thanks go out to Bill, Scott and Mike for putting together such a great race boat. The conditions were some of the worst we had ever raced in and so far we (Scott & Mike) have found very little broken on the boat. A couple of times during the race Bill and I swore, we had just broke the boat completely in half. We took some of the hardest hits I had ever had in a boat.
Anyway, my hat goes off to the Solarized Team what a great weekend and Gordo, your seat is warm and ready for you in Savannah... See you there and I really thank you and Bill Park for the opportunity.

I was running around the pits all saturday warning people about how bad it was going to be out there on Sunday. I think that some guys did not believe me. Well after the race a couple came up to me and said man oh man you got that on the head. Even I had no idea it was going to be that bad!!! Then I had my own set of troubles out there and could not watch the races. ANYONE that raced in that snot deserves a pat on the back. Well maybe in the knee as their backs probably hurt to much :D:D Gordo I was looking for ya down there but they told me you were back home. Oh well next year we will all get together.

I knew you could do it. I guess they went ahead and put the seats in for you after all.

Maybe you can start a new points category for the most boats driven from different classes. . . you would be National Champ for sure.

Ben you missed your chance in the cape. I was talking to a guy that I overheard was looking for a T-man and then I asked him what boat he had and he said super cat light and I said I was not ready for one of those. To bad we could have swapped places :D:D

Ben I will not be hitting any more races this year. Unfortunatly it is time to settle down and get some work done as My landloard just informed me that he is going to take my shop and level it to put up new buildings so I have to move out :( I would keep your ear to the ground out there at the next race you never know. I do not remember who the guy was but I do remember he was from Texas. Really nice guy from the couple seconds I talked to him he seemed down to earth. Like I said once he said it was a Cat, I know I had no business going any further. I can throttle a V no problem but a cat is something I have never done.
