Default Best place to buy Yamaha 250 4 stroke

I need a Yamaha 250 4 stroke for my father in law. Since I don't really mess with clamp-ons (outboards), I'm not sure where the best place is to buy. I don't mind shipping the engine if the price is right. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
Eddie

I believe Yamaha requires a dealer to set up the engine or you get no warranty. You cant buy a Yamaha and rig it yourself. Eds marine used to sell unrigged Yamahas at a good price but now they can not.

Thanks. I didn't know that. I'm actually not doing the rigging. He lives in New Orleans and I'm in Nashville, so he was just going to take it to someone local to him.
I have also heard that if you have a commercial fishing license, you get an extra discount. However, you sacrifice some warranty since they assume you will be using it commercially. Not 100% sure about this though. Anyone know for sure??? Thanks.

Default Jetts Marine

You could try Jetts Marine in Reedville Va. They are a large dealer and have been in business 80 years. Prices are good.

Eddie -
Marty's Marine at LOTO is a reputable dealer for Yamaha. He said he could sell it found just under 20k. He said the 250 SHO's are still in backorder due to the tsunami. If your father in law were to install it himself, they would want to do the final PDI (pre delivery inspection) on it since they didn't install it. He said Yamaha has become very strict. Marty's number is (573)346-0023.

With the reputation and following you have on here, it wont be long before you make the big bucks.
