Man that sucks big time ! Sorry for your loss. Never like to see any boat get hurt like that, but when its a Sonic it hits closer to home.

The trailer was a 3 axel ACE 10500lb aluminum. He was towing the boat with a Chevy Tahoe (definitely not enough truck for the job). It was windy where the accident happened on the Colorado Kansas border and while a semi was passing him he lost control. Trailer is toast also. Insurance adjusters are working on the case. There will be some good salvage parts (engines, trs drives, BW trannys). Once I know what is going to happen with the wreck I will let the board know.

Your not going to like the outcome if this is on your insurace using that truck and trailer.

Stop payment asap if you have paid for the boat!!!

This is very intersting Stop payment but why??? The guy that owned the boat wants his money. The broker is the one that was hired to transport the boat so you need the brokers insurance company to cover it. Unless the owner still had it insured during transport.

I thought if insurance found out limits were exceeded... no go. But it's not the buyers fault the broker did this if it was his truck and trailer and that's how he was gong to transport... not sure how that will play out with insurance. |

Tow vehicle mentioned should never been used for that size load. My bet is the insurance company declines the claim. |
