drive questions on cig

Ok my cig has sportmasters on bravos with ITS. I have heard that the sportmaters are slower than reg bravos. I have 34 pitch bravo ones. They are original drives and props. Boat hates any trim. if you bump the trim it runs into limiters hard. Runs very flat also. water breaks way before tstep. the same boat is next to me except hes had standard lowers. same motors props and everything. is boat runs completely diff. also 8 mph faster. my motors are mounted 1.5 inches lower in the boat but with the shorty my props are like over 2 inches higher than his. Whats the deal with the long skegs? I had heard they put these on the sv boats to slow them down. Any ideas?

Drop on some standard lowers and see how it rides.

Rotation of props and power?

until you get into the mid 80's the lower unit with the least sq inches dragging through the water will be faster. also the flat nose of a stock Bravo takes trim better than a cresent nose (On some boats). you may want to try stock lowers and see, the lower prop height will help the trim issues as well.

I had an 02 TG w/575's. Put the sportmasters on and it was a dog.

With ITS on XR 1.5 Bravos - 5 blade Herings we ran 93 mph. Weight was around 12,000 lbs w/ fuel.

Try a 32p B1... They act different than 34s. Worry about the top speed and RPM once you like how the boat acts...

I have never been a fan of the 34 B1.... Trust me. :)
