I dont know what they do at other airports but here in Atlanta every time I have been there they have folks from the USO and others there at the top of the stairs to greet incoming soldiers. when ever a soldier steps off the escalator everyone applaudes them and greets them. it is amazing to see 100 plus people break into applause for the brave men and women who make it possible for us to enjoy all that we have and makes you proud to be an American.
