Coming back from Michigan last night I really understood why gasoline is $.30 a gallon more, and they want RAISE the tolls. I swear crossing from Indiana into Illinois is like driving off the side of the road. Why the hell cant they maintain these roads. I hit holes last night that had me holding my breath and checking the mirrors for missing parts on the trailer.

I saved $30 topping off the tanks in the boat and truck in Indiana.

Oh yeah...between the tolls and the construction (takes me 90 minutes to get to work each day, and 90 more to drive home - total 80 miles) I'm a poster child for Road Rage.

The lost productivity not to mention time away from family, activities, etc. is astronomical.

Sitting in traffic for hours because of one lane closed and associated merging is intolerable. Imagine the boost to the economy as a result of improved moral, more quality time with family, friends, more BOATING time...

The devil is in the details.

Unemployment would jump 10% in Illinois if road work were ever "completed"! That's why there's always road construction. :D
