It seems to be lower than other older boats.

Don't you have a Intrepid for sale ?

302Sport 09-22-2011 12:39 PM

not really for sale, there was a guy who ordered a new one, but it is a two year wait from intrepid so he wanted a boat in the mean time. 2007 377 with 275 verados, totally enclosed with ac, gen, on a myco trailer and it runs 60mph. $275K prolly buys it. Intrepid stopped making the 377 and went to the 39 sport yacht, so ours was one of the last 377's made. I will put it up against any other 377 in the country in terms of being clean and having every option they offer.

intrepid is the skater/outerlimits of that type of boat

What's wrong with Midnight Express? There a few down in my area...seem to be solid boats. Our Customs Dept has a few of them.

awesome boats if they were built by the old company....

That's a great deal for a 39' 2010... if it's real. I know that Fastboats has one that could be bought for a lot less.

Some midnight express info:

Any of the hull ID numbers that start with EXK are the new Midnight Express started by Tom Mason who is one of the best in the business.

The 39's that are numbered higher than 140 should be avoided. These hulls were NOT built by Navigator Powerboats AKA Latitude Powerboats (ORlando, in Miami built all the Midnight HUlls for Tom until Dr. Bert bought M.E. ) Orlando, Pico, & Carolina are great people as well as great builders. The rigging is the other issue that Midnight Express has changed...Edit Marine is no longer rigging the boats. If you look through the Powerboat Magazine Archives you can find some photos of the Midnights that Ed (Edit Marine) rigged.

The 39 is great in a head sea if it has triple or twin outboards. The quad set-up has a hard time running in a head sea because of the trim tabs cavitating the outside motors. The outsides can overheat pretty quick in a hard turn or putting the tab too far down....

In a following sea the 39 can stuff without much effort....crossing a boat wake can do the same thing...You have to slow down and trim the bow up hard when the waves get stacked too close.

There is a hook in the bottom of the boats on the port side and the boat will lay on that side when it come on plane. As soon as you touch the trim up, it goes away. If you are running in rough water, quartering seas on the port side, it will occasionally cause the boat to slam pretty hard. The hook causes the boat to slam every once in a while...

The spray rails were not installed to keep the boat from stuffing. Believe me the boat can still stuff with the spray rails. The spray rails knock down the spray by about 50% and they make a big difference. The spray rails were an option on the 39

I am a big fan of the everglades and yellowfin. I think as far as amenities, the everglades I have been in have been the nicest I have seen. However, the sheer size of a big yellowfin is impressive, it seems bigger then any other cc of the same size
