Hey guys I have a Baja 275 w/496ho I currently have a 21p revolution 4 prop that was on the boat when I bought it. The pitch is to low I'm spiking 5500 rpms. I went on mercurys prop selector and they recommended 3 props a bravo 1 22p, a rev 4 23p, and a mirage 23p. What prop do u think will give me the most speed/ best performance I hear the 4 blades have better hole shot and handling but that the mirage is usually about 2 mph faster top speed. My boat currently runs 61 on gps at 5400rpms would love to see 65 maybe 66 if possible and get the rpms down to 5000 where they should be. Any input is greatly appreciated

That's what I'm leaning towards the more research I do. I'm your opinion would getting it labbed be worth it?

Well Baja's have shown to like labbed props, but it can be a bit of a crashoot. As I've posted in the prop section, there has been good results from both Powerboat and Boattest.com on the 26OL with labbed 23"'s running 67 and 66,2 mph. Just be aware that labbing decreases the strength of your prop alot. Halfing the thickness of the blade only leaves 10-15% of the original strenght. Be prepared to repair and change props more often if going labbed.

496ho Rev limit is 5050 which = 60 mph

Yea it would go to 5400 and the alarm would start beeping....def not good

I've never been at the limiter in our Sea Ray cruiser, but they are not at 5050, we run between 5000-5075 depending on load. 5150 is where my manual says they will kick in, if I remember correctly. 4950-5050 is where the 496HO's likes to run. Ours are the Horizon inboard motors, but same difference.

Yea that's the range I'm def shooting for what size is your sea ray my dad has a 34 they are really sweet boats!!
